Ok it was in 2011 I upgraded to a Msi Gtx 460 hawk its still going strong but I think its time to upgrade was thinking of a Gtx 660 ti or some thing or a Gtx 760 kinda thinking around the £150 Thanks in advance

Im running atm 1920 x 1080 also hiper 880 psu should have said really want to stay with NVidia thanks for the idea

I might be wrong, but that psu might be worth replacing. I've heard some horror stories regarding brands like that. Also, what cpu do you have?

You mention a GTX760 in your OP, which is a little over budget :

At or below £150 :

yeah I have heard of problems with the psu etc think that will be the next to do. I have the Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30GHz

come to think of it I bought a Thermalright MUX-120 Black CPU Cooler for that cpu and never fitted it love the look at that Gtx 760

I'm running a very similar cpu to you, a 3570K, and I'm still using the stock cooler. I can push it to a little over 4ghz with excellent temps, so you may be surprised at what yours can do for you, too. I don't know if I got lucky or not, but the chip I have seems to be a good one. Anyway, you always have the spare cooler should you need it. :)

Yup, the GTX760 is a cracking upper mid ranged card. I like the look of Gigabyte's windforce coolers as well. I had the same cooler on my GTX480 / 570, and they were among the very best cards I've ever had.

only problem I can see so far with the 760 is its a lot bigger than my old one and fitting it in my Antec 300 case will not fit...Bugger

Asus did a low profile 670 mini, Maybe there is a 760 version.

I would stretch your budget as far as you can to try and get the 760 or 770, Or even a b grade if your not bothered how the box looks.

now had a look at the B-grade g/cards (don't care how the box looks ;p) my only problem with that is only getting 90 day warranty

just a update and thanks to all who helped with ideas for a new graphics card and in the end I went for a EVGA GeForce GTX 670 2048MB GDDR5 from a well known auction site Thanks again

Well that didn't work out just had email from paypal the guy I was buying it from left the parcel in a shop and when he went back gone...so now go a refund.Ive changed the psu to a cx750m corsair would this be enough to run 2 gtx 460 hawks? never done sli or crossfire before so new stuff for me and how much of a difference will I get Thanks again all

You should update to a newer series card. I think EVGA's 660 FTW looks quite nice if your not going for a 760. See if you can find the 3gb 660 anywhere.

well I was getting a 670 but they guy who sold it to me left it in a shop and when he went back the stuff including my g/card was gone so he gave me a refund (when the money gets back into my bank).but the 660 evga ftw looks like it should do what I want Thanks
