Well ive got a Noctua cooler on my CPU and its time for me to overclock to get the most out of it.

Would someone mind giving me recommended settings or a guide on how to do it without doing any damage.

Thanks,

Ps. i have Q6600 GO, Gigabyte DSR3, 2GB Crucial Ballistix 5300.

its fairly easy to follow

best way to do it is go up in increments and then if you get stuck with specifics - ask on here

we are always happy to help out

once you have done a few minor increases you will get used to it and become familiar with the processes

Thanks, i'll run through this tonight and report back with results.

EDIT; is it worth updating my bios before i get started and is there any way of doing it without an A: drive ?

If it's a Gigabyte board, you should have a QFlash function at start-up. My understanding is: you put the new BIOS file on the USB stick, restart the computer, and enter QFlash in the same way you'd enter the BIOS set-up.

Excellant, yep ive seen that on startup when ive left the mobo disc in the drive.

Thanks.
