It's now time to get a new system and as I've been out of the loop thought I'd ask you guys on here.

Budget is up to £1300

Currently have an overclockers pre built system.
Antec 1200
Corsair 650w
i7 920 @ 3.2
6GB Ram
MSi 7850
60GB SSD

As I'm not PC savvy I'm looking for something pre built and the Missus wants something with a smaller footprint and a bit quieter than my current tower. Been looking at the "Forcebox Gamer Plus" with the addition of a 250GB SSD and GTX970.

Usage wise I'm a keen gamer and do convert the family's Blu-ray purchases to different formats for ipad's etc. Would like scope to overclock if possible. Would you guys suggest i5 or i7,8GB or 16GB RAM and which is best chipset option. Can push to a Mid size tower if required but would need to be quiet.. Looking for best performance within my budget.

I chose that case as it has a lot of space so im sure it will be quiet enough :)

Thanks guys. First of all I take it the Z97 is better than H81, i7 is worth the extra over the i5 and Crucial MX 100's are the SSD of choice.

Will Overclockers build and test?

Only reason I went for an i7 is that the budget is there, probably the same with Ketan26 :)
If you post the basket into the customer services section, they'll give you a quote for building that rig and yep, they should build and test it. I expect mine will total around £1248? Not too sure, best if you ask in CS for a quote for building the PC.
Z97 is newer, better and more feature packed than H81, yep. i5 is excellent for gaming but as you have the budget available why not go for i7? :) MX100s are great yep, arguably the best price/performance SSD out

rumours are that 10 will be a free upgrade, but nothing's been confirmed, so take it with a pinch of salt.
but tbh, i wouldn't get windows 7 anymore. win 10 (8) is so much better lol (and i can't believe i'm actually saying that)

Pretty much went with your build mate, just changed the Gfx to MSI and the Seagate to 3TB.

Once again thanks for your help.

I'll be on the overclocking help pages when it arrives as haven't overclocked anything since my AMD 3500+ and Opteron 144!!

Been excellent, systems still ok to be honest. Runs BF4 nicely and pretty good at editing etc just to big! Just need to move it all on now, best place to sell is eBay I guess?

Guy's

Just a quick mail to say thanks for all your advice. New system arrived this morning (3 days after order placed as opposed to 7 days quoted). It's exactly what I needed. Compact, quiet and blazingly fast. Even came overclocked @ 4.4!!!

Once again the whole Overclockers experience has been awesome. First class information from you guys on the forum, first class customer service from Damo, Great prices from Overclockers.

On the negative side I now need a monitor that will do the system justice (Currently on Dell2206W), new keyboard, Mouse and a mat! Any reccomendations would be greatly appreciated.
