I know you can get software to control the shutter and even buy like a small device to do it too that connects to the camera or even a simple timer shutter release device.

I have not got round to making a time lapse video yet, but others on here have and maybe able to point you in the right direction.

That's a really good point the software that comes with the cameras does the time lapse too, thanks for reminding me of that feature I rememebr one of the reasons I purchased the 300D a long time ago was this feature.

I may end up keeping the 300D now as a time lapse camera only and look into getting the 5DMk2 or 7D when the new firmware comes out for it that fixes the audio problems and adds new features.
