Time Machine Help Please

Hi,

Both myself and my wife have Macbooks. My wife has always used time machine to back her Macbook up. She is now selling her Macbook and we're moving over to one Macbook and an iPad.

Now, can I set her up as a user on my Macbook then just use the time machine back up to upload all her files? Or am I in a dream world?

I've used Migration Assistant to do it in the past, you can either just transfer the User Account or from Time Machine I believe. A good how to here http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4413
