Cmon fess up :p who's thrown sickies to play games or booked time off work for the release of a new game :p

I hold my hand up. Booked a week off last year for the release of Half Life 2, booked 1 week off for the release of the xbox360 :)

Went home yesterday dinnertime to play Oblivion :D

I booked 2 weeks off work a couple of years ago to get my Lev.1 Samurai to Level 40 on Final Fantasy XI

Kinda sad but I was well hooked back then.
 
I got a night off for Half-Life 2.
Working a double shift for Oblivion.

Think I'll throw a weeks holiday in for Tomb Raider though.
 
never for me.

rarely buy games / consoles on day of release so not the same i guess.

finally get an xbox ( orginal ) this weekend though w00t ! :p
 
Booked the week off for Halflife2.

Booked the day off on Xbox360 launch day.

Had the last 2 Fridays off (GR:AW and Burnout Revenge)

Meant to be working tomorrow but I've got a migraine coming on, so I don't think I'll be able to ;)
 
Booked a day off for the Xbox 360 launch only to find out that I wasn't lucky enough to get one that day :(

I am now the roll eyes police and will question everyone every time they use it FOR NO APPARENT REASON!
 
had a week/fortnight off for half life 2 and halo 2 launches, kinda deliberate but kinda coincidental too.
Took 2 days off purely for the 360 launch :D and will take time off for the PS3 launch too.
And i am on holiday till wed just now :D using up holidays so worked out kinda well for oblivion lol
 
I'll be booking 4 days off which = to 12 days off (4on 4off rota :D ) when Final Fantasy XII is released. Can't wait for it!! :)
 
I used to skive off to my room when I was a halls warden at uni for various reasons including gaming.

They started cracking down on it as we were all doing it and moved the CCTV camera a touch so it showed if there was someone in the office or not... so I took my dreamcast down, plugged it into the PC monitor and played that (keeping the controler under the desk. It must have looked like I was in a trance or playing with myself but you would never have guessed I was playing computer games :p
 
Yup I booked a 2 weeks for 360 launch (it did clash with some work on the house tho), and I have booked holidays for major patches to EVE Online just cos its the best MMORPG out there and deserves the respect... I was even up til 1am this morning on a massive fleet battle and then was up at 6:30 for work and now its really beginning to kick in :D
 
im hoping to get a half day tomorrow for oblivion and ive also got off till wednesday just to play - but they owe me the 2 days as i got called in last month while on a weeks holiday :mad:

and depending on the reviews i see as it comes closer i might get my PS2 back and have a few days off for FFXII

Edit: must also admit while at school i did act sick on the release day of MGS1 and laid in bed playing on it all day

have to admit i do the same, i book a week off when building a new rig, travel upto stoke buy the bits get home and kick back for a bit, build it an then test it all.

Had half a week off for wow when it came out, and still take the odd day here to grind away at it lol


Took a couple of days off for the x360, also had a couple off for hl2.

Havent booked anything off this year so far, have to see whats in the pipeline.

Looking to build a new rig soon though. ;)
