Time planning/diary software recommendations

I'm after some simple software that will work like a diary, where I can enter my future work commitments and allow simple scheduling/time planning.

Any recommendations? Does MS office provide this?

MS Outlook has a calendar. Google calendar is also definitely worth a look.
