Time spent queing for tickets

didnt get them either, i gave up and went to see something worthwhile.

11 hours for Wolves playoff final tickets...
The club had not officially announced when they were going on sale to the public, but the fans presumed the usual date and time and started queuing early. Then the afternoon came and people were getting restless as the ticket office hadn't opened....people were spreading rumours that the tickets hadn't arrived, or hadn't been printed...but the club had made no announcements and yet the queue had been getting larger and larger all day. Some people were getting restless and there were a few fights in the queue, and some drunks who'd been buying beer all day from Asda to drink whilst waiting got arrested when dozens of police turned up. Come the afternoon they announce they hadn't got the tickets...but the first few hundred could buy a voucher to collect two tickets each when they'd been printed
Lots of disappointed fans that day (though I was not one of them
) but it all could have been sorted by the club actually communicating with the fans through the press, and making an announcement on the day rather than leaving it until midway through the afternoon when most people had been queing for hours!
