hi all,

i am struggling to figure out how some resulets are higher up the score board than me even though i have:
faster CPU clock
faster GPU core clock
faster GPU mem clock

the only thing they dont show in results of others is the RAM speeds and settings. could this be the difference?

if not i am very confused.

kind regards and hope everyone is well.

Ok.

So here is a link to my run https://www.3dmark.com/spy/20825320

I'm looking at result comparing the same cpu and gpu.
So a 10850k and 3070.

Clock speeds in first test are consistently 2160 to 2175 with not much variance at around 43 degrees.
Second test fluctuates a fair bit more between 2100 and 2160 with temps remaining around 43 degrees.
I am power limited on the card. Slider is at 111% GPUZ shows power limit as the factor stopping it boosting further.
Memory clock I plus 1200 I think on that run (May be 1300 on afterburner)

Cpu score is 2nd in the category and I'm not trying to push it much harder than already have.

I am recently on water at the gpu now and temps are very consistent.

Thanks for asking for the extra details.

May have a look at getting some LPX 4000Mhz cl 16 dimms when I have a spare bit of money and see what results are compared to my 3200Mhz cl16 xpg dimms

Regards

I have done some tuning to the memory and it's hit or miss with stability and along with that I can get the cl down to 15 and will not go any lower.

Also would have some spare ram for a second build at some point. I'm an addict.

Gskill have recently announced 4000 Mhz CL14 ram, but it will likely cost a fortune qmd have very little availability.

4000 CL16 while very good timings, isn't really going to affect bench scores very much.

I dont even want to think what that would cost.
If I can get the lpx for a decent price I will if I'm good for cash.
Thanks for the advice.
Just wish I understood Why numbers aren't higher with the clocks I was getting.

I've noticed the same thing, I've just gained 565 points in Timespy using an older version of Win 10 ltsc. I'm now trying to find older GPU drivers to see how much difference that makes.
Oh. That's a good shout.
Never rolled windows back. Should be easy enough

Wow. Just looked at score for my cpu and gpu combo. If I added 565 points I'd be 400+ clear of number 1. I dont think that will happen.
