Hi guys, I'm hoping someone can help me out here.
I've always found the hardest thing with PC's is deciding when its the right time to stop upgrading and simply buy a new PC. Below are the specs of my current PC.
Mobo: Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe
Processor: AMD Athlon 3500+ Newcastle
RAM: Corsair 2x1024MB PC-3200 400MHz DDR
GFX: NVidia 7900GTO 256MB
Case: Gigabyte 3D Aurora (I'd happily keep this)
PSU: Xilence 420W
HD: Some crappy old one which I will be replacing regardless.
DVD-RW: Same as above.
Keyboard and Mouse: Happy with these
So my question is. What would be my best option? I want a fairly decent gaming machine and I want to spend around £600 to £700. Not including monitor. I want the new machine to not need upgrading in the near future too.
Should I scrap the old machine and sell the old parts? (Will they be worth anything?) or should I build a new machine, salvaging some of the old parts? Or is my current spec worth upgrading at all?
Opinions and advice most welcome
Cheers!
