Hi all!

I have an ISO of W7 64bit on my PC in a .rar file. I want to begin installing this now. I have backed up everything I want, so its time to get going.

How do I do it?

Do I need to just open the ISO, or boot from the disc with the ISO?

and if I need to boot from the disc, do I just extract the rar to the DVD and leave it like that and boot?

Sorry for not knowing anything!

Unrar the file and burn ISO onto DVD disk, then boot from it and fallow the instructions as with previous windows versions.

EDIT: You can use ImgBurn (which is free) to burn you Win7 ISO onto DVD.

by the way, when installing windows 7 you will get to a point where nothing seems to be happening for a while, there is a blue wallpaper image and nothing else, just be patient and you will eventually be prompted for some information.

I really don't remember this happening but this could be your hardware.

Just seen I have an .exe file of it as well, would it be easier to just run the .exe instead of burning the ISO and booting from that?
