Time to reconsider a Bentley?

Looks like it has been confirmed...

According to Autocar, Bentley will begin using the Porsche Panamera platform for its future vehicles, providing a much better base for rear- and all-wheel-drive vehicles. Additionally, Bentley will phase out its 6.75-liter V8 in 2013, likely replacing it with a V12. It may be a wise consolidation, and no one should ever complain when eight cylinders are replaced with 12, but we'll miss that magnificently brutal V8.

That's awesome, we lose the V8 and have it replaced with V12. Isn't that win all around?

A piece of motoring history will die with the 6.75L V8 but advancing technology is no bad thing. If you're desperate for a V8 Bentley they'll be heap as chips in a few years!

True, but the only engine in THE WORLD that used fuel when parked in your garage with the engine off

It's a 2 litre quad turbo V12
