I see the *OVERCLOCKED* AMD Phenom II X4 Quad Core 955 Black Edition 3.20GHz @ 3.80GHz / Gigabyte GA-MA790XT-UD4P Motherboard / OCZ Platinum AMD Edition 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 1600C7 Bundle
Is on offer at £339 that's £130 off.
I am still running an old socket 939 system with an over clocked Opteron 185@ 2.82 2gigs of PC400 mem with a 8800gt with a factory overclock. The rig is rock solid reliable, used for gaming and Internet mostly
Now the question is if I upgrade using the above mentioned bundle will the 8800gt be too much of a bottleneck?
My setup as it is plays every game I have at 1680x1080 [COD MW, HL2ep2,
Dead Space, and the like] flat out no problem, it even does well in the Resi Evil5 benchmark getting a B rating and an average fps of 52, not bad for a rig that is as old as this one
If I upgrade the setup will be getting a new Video card about Xmas time.
Would be dual booting XP Pro and Windows 7.
Worth the upgrade or not?

If it ain't broke don't fix it, put the money away and get all your components at the one time, chances are there will be a better bundle at the same price when you're planning on getting the graphics card. Don't give in to impulse buying!
