Time to replace my 34" 100Hz Gsync monitor?

I've had an Acer Predator X34 100Hz Gsync monitor for some time now.
There are no issues with it at all but guessing an OLED with higher refresh rate would look nicer and be more responsive.

I dont play many games, mainly desktop work, browsing and Discord but do play Warzone usually once a day with friends and occasionally try out other games like Bodycam.
Graphics card being used in an Aorus Master 4090 and have been using the desktop and gaming at 3440 x 1440, 100hz with Gsync always enabled.

Would something like this be much better or hold out until OLED has improved (not sure if screen burn is still a thing on OLEDs)

Edit - I've also read great things about the Alienware aw3423dw

Read up on WD-OLED and WO-OLED

I have this monitor and it is unbelievably good. Image quality and responsiveness are fantastic. I was shocked at how much better it is than my old Samsung VA ultrawide 100hz.

As for burn in, there are functions to help reduce the chance of it happening, but you do have to be a little careful. I have a live wallpaper, auto hide the taskbar and have my desktop icons in a hidden folder.

Which one, the AOC or the Alienware? Thanks

I have the Alienware. Well, actually, the F version which is the Freesync. You may be please to know it works perfectly with an NVIDIA card.

It's a brilliant monitor. Play a good HD game on it, and it's just stunning.

So far (about two years) I have no signs of burn-in, but then I'm in a North facing room which isn't all that bright, so my brightness setting is probably lower than most people. But then the Alienware has a 3 year warranty.

Yes, it's so smooth and responsive, you don't really need to same sort of frame rates with a different type of monitor.

The only thing is that I needed to install MacType, which is a app to fix the sub-pixel text fringing that occurs with it. I think I talked about that in some other post on the forum and gave the necessary configuration for the Alienware.

Does this mean text clarity is impacted on OLEDs? I do browse/read quite a lot on my monitor so clear text is a must.

Thanks

It's the AOC, but I think all the 34 inch ultrawide oleds use the same panel, so will be pretty similar.
Same panel but different build quality and inputs?
Is Gsync no longer required for Nvidia gaming or can any freesync / freesync premium option be used?

(I dont want too go for a monitor and find it doesnt work with my GPU)

Absolutely, yes. There is a fringe around the text. It's more visible with white text on a dark background.

This happens on all monitors but it is adjusted by Windows for standard monitors. Alas Microsoft have not done anything about the newer monitors with different sub-pixel layouts.

I took this picture of an OLED being used by Windows without MacType. See the green fringe at the top and the red at the bottom?

In fairness, some people are fine with it, but I was not. I had to use MacType.

I think it's lacking the hdmi 2.1, so that.may or may not be an issue. Build quality is excellent though, really surprised me as I thought AOC were a mostly budget brand. Good quality plastics for the main body and a sturdy metal stand. I haven't had any vrr issues with my Nvidia card, zero screen tearing.

I used Display port as connectivity wise as far as I can remember
