Hi guys, would really appreciate some help, it's a while since I've bought any PC hardware.

Current spec: AMD fx8320, Nvidia 1050ti, some DDR3 RAM

I am looking to use my current CPU/Mobo/RAM in another project, so I might as well upgrade my own. Although, shamefully, the 8320 is still handling my needs pretty well.

What is the best combination of CPU/Motherboard/RAM for about £300? I will be keeping the 1050ti. There is a little wiggle room on that £300 if a bargain is to be had..

It would be nice to be able to play some newer games on it, if possible at that price.

You gaming at 1080p then? Do you need a monitor / case for that price? One of the guys will spec soon but they need to know those things mate. So you need a Motherboard, CPU, Cooler?, PSU and I am guessing you want to keep ddr3 memory? You will need a new PSU likely, what PSU do you have now (model number) and how old is it.

Sorry for lack of detail, was trying not to ramble too much.

Yes, I'm gaming at 1080p. Looking to buy a 4K tv tv soon, but I'm presuming that my budget is a bit low to accomodate 4K gaming, so I'm not worried about that.

I am looking for CPU (without cooler is fine), RAM and motherboard. Budget is £300 for just those 3 things.

I do not need a monitor or any other peripherals.

PSU is a Coolermaster 550w, it's only maybe three years old, should be another bit of life left in it yet. I dont have the exact model for you I'm afraid, but it wasn't an el cheapo PSU.

Alright mate, experienced guys will be here to spec soon enough. They may still mention getting a newer psu, not sure.

What case do you have, just need to see if you need a m-atx or atx motherboard.

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £333.47 (includes shipping: £10.50)

You can't go wrong with this if you can use an ATX board, if you need to get it to £300 you can save on the board a little but its a pretty solid build. Scope to move to a newer Ryzen if wanted in the future.

Case can take full ATX, just about!

Looks like a solid spec, much appreciate you taking the time. Seems like a nice base to go off

No problem at all, if you hunt around you can find the parts slightly cheaper and it will pull it more towards £300 but otherwise should be a nice upgrade for you.
