Hi all,

Time for an upgrade. I’m after the 13” screen size.

What model is the best value 13” pro? I’m out of date on processors.

Avoid the two lower priced 13" if possible, they are 8th gen processors not 10th and slower ram.

As above, the lower tier MBPs are 8th Gen. However, the Air is 10th Gen no matter which one you choose.

Depends what your use case is, as above I'd stick with the newer processors if possible.

Thanks all, In which case it's probably looking like an Air with a 10th Gen processor given the price jump in the pro model.

I bought my daughter the 16gb 10th gen MBP 13 and it's a fantastic machine. I'm really impressed with it and I'm coming from a point of view where I hated the 2016 to 2019 MBP's. The only downside is the silly emoji bar thing instead of a proper row of real function keys. The batter also doesn't last as long as I'd hoped but she mainly uses it for games at the moment so it would probably be better for general productivity work.

I think 12, 14 and 16 will be the Apple laptop sizes when they fully migrate to Apple Silicon.
