Time to replace TV monitor

Hi
I have been using my old 32" Sony Bravia TV as a temporary monitor . . .for the last 5 years!

I have bow decided to replace it with a dedicated PC monitor, was wondering what would be best to go for and what my Sapphire RX480 could handle.

I do understand that this isn't the best resolution for such a large monitor but then I have been gaming on a TV for last few years so was wondering if it would make much difference.

Anyway looking for suggestions for around that price and would not was to go any smaller than 27" which I imagine would feel like a downgrade due the the amount of real estate I am currently used to.

Thanks for your very in depth response, greatly appreciated. It does look like a great monitor though it does make my decision a little harder as am now torn between that and the LG one.

Had a good think about, looked at many reviews online and decided to opt for the https://www.overclockers.co.uk/lg-3...descreen-led-monitor-black-red-mo-14c-lg.html

It looks amazing and fancied going ultra wide. I will post back here with my initial impression when it arrives tomorrow.

New monitor is amazing, it's like the scene in wizard of oz when it goes from black and white to colour. Tried a number of games, they all look stunning on ultrawide, monitor is actually at eye level which is a first for me and the only down point is they didn't squeeze any haribo into the box
