I received my EVGA 680 yesterday, so now I've got two GTX 470's sitting here with nothing to do.

I'm NOT asking if anyone on here wants to buy them - instead am trying to figure out how much they're worth now, or at least what i can expect to get for them.

-----------------

They're both MSI TwinFrozR II's with EK FC-470 water blocks on. One has a plexi and nickle water block, the other copper and acetal. The one with the plexi water block also has an EK back plate. I've made them both single slot cards by changing the PCI bracket.

I still have the original boxes, accessories, dual slot PCI brackets, and one of them still has the original (working) TwinFrozR cooler. (i water cooled them after the fans burnt out on one of the cards and couldn't find anywhere to buy replacement fans).

-----------------

Now, I've looked around at how much they go for these days (sadly they've devalued quickly) but I've also noticed they're not that easy to come across in the UK.

I found on ebay and he was asking for £260. So around £130 each.

I also found a seller in the US selling a brand new (sparkle branded) 470 for about £120 (but there was a big postage charge on top of that) This was one with a stock cooler - So i'm a little confused at how a brand new one, and ones with (expensive) water blocks - all be it second hand - are selling for roughly the same price?!

-----------------

Basically i'm looking for someone to help me out in valuing these cards. I'm happy to sell them as a pair, or individually once i figured out a good price for them. They're in good condition and have served me very well. I'd hate to sell them for less than what they're worth. I'd like to get them up on eBay ASAP.

I'd remove the Ebay link before doing anything else.

Waterblocks for specific cards have next to no resale value, as such should be sold as dead. If you were to sell both cards with the option of going back to air, you would at a guesstimate looking around the £120-150 mark.

This thread will also likely be locked as this kind of price checking is for the MM.

Thanks Tonester - Im surprised that the water blocks don't really have much re-sale value... As they're not really that old.

I removed the link, what does "for the MM" mean?

my bad - my apologies for my ignorance! Am i able to remove this thread?

Member's Market - it's a selling/buying/trading forum on these very forums.

You need to have been registered for 6 months and have 1000+ posts.

You aren't allowed to do price checks outside of this forum. :)
