Hello!!
I am wondering if I should invest in a new PSU for my new set up:
i7 4790k @4.4 GHz -
8Gb TeamGroup Vulcan GOLD -
Gigabyte Z97-HD3 -
Alpenföhn Brocken ECO - Inno3d iChill GTX 980 Ultra -
2X noiseblocker 120mm case fans
1X 120 case fan
Samsung 840 256 SSD - Barracuda 1Tb HD
I currently have a OCZ700XSX
However it is 4 years old.
My Graphics card is using 12V2 and 12V4 six pin PCI-E cables. I know this gives me a theoretical 435w (216 x 2) to the GPU which is massive overkill, but I am wondering if it should be swapped out anyway.
What is the average life of a home PC PSU?
Thanks for your thoughts.
