Hi,To be honest I doubt i need an upgrade yet but let's say if i were to get one.

....i aint even touched my pc for long time thats how rusty i've become

but lets see these new piledriver amd cpu's look incredible. Been eying up building up a dx 12 machine (or am i believing hype)

budget £1100 (havn't built a high end beast for a long time)

You need to go and do some research. Piledriver is no better (in many cases worse) than the 2500k you have now. The only things I would change in your pc is bring the gpu up to date, maybe get a single bigger SSD and do away with the smaller ones and overclock the 2500k if it isn't already. On the other hand, if you are not using it why bother?

I'd love to start using it again want invest into a cintiq or intuos start drawing again, as well as gaming on my pc (thankfully didnt buy a ps4)

The o.c on the cpu no chance on that 4.4 is the limit i believe.

So a single chunky ssd would suffice to hold windows os and appz?

what graphics card?

what would you do? (example)

Graphics card wise it depends on the res you game at.

SSD's have really fallen in price now. The Samsung EVO 850 500Gb is only £137 now but that price will go back to the normal £150 tomorrow when the deals change. Even the Samsung EVO 850 1Tb is only £260 at the moment. That's going to be my next upgrade as I have a pair of 240Gb SSD's which are going to be replaced by a 1Tb model.

Just looked up your monitor so 1920x1080? Are you keeping that for a while yet? If so then either a GTX 970 (maybe the 8 pack 980), or a R9 390.

I would agree with pastymuncher in upgrading just the SSD and the graphics card myself. That CPU is not bad these days and nor are the rest of the specs of your PC.

Get a 1TB SSD to replace your 2 smaller SSDs and the HDD, or leave the HDD in there as a temp downloads/storage drive.

Again, as pastymuncher says, the GTX970 would probably fill your needs nicely (and possible the R9 390, I just do not currently have the AMD card knowledge to recommend myself).

if i were to buy a new pc keep the monitor just replace the tower, (thinking of giving my pc to my brother his pc is ****e) then what systeudm should i build?

-1000 pounds budget cpu can reach 5ghz (amd?) use for gaming and 3d rendering)
