Time to upgrade

My pc (p4, 2gb memory and a Nvidia 6600) is finally on it's last legs and with Christmas around the corner I'm finally going to open my wallet and spring for a new one.

I'm going to want it for pretty much everything, HD video encoding, Photoshop, gaming (1600x1050) Watching blu ray and HD mkv videos on a 1080p tv while using things like Photoshop and sharing movies and stuff on a network (8 people in my house). I'd also like it to last as long as my current one has (if possible).

My budget is £1500

Below is a screenshot of what I've put together from reading reviews of some of the components. (I've left about £100 over for any upgrades)

If you guys could tell me what you think or if you have suggestions for alternative components that will work better I'd appreciate it.

I know new stuff is coming out all the time but I could be waiting forever for the next best thing.

I realise some of that stuff is out of stock, and if it's not expected relatively soon I'll look for an alternative product (I'd much rather get it all from one shop)

That was quick. I've always had western digital hard drives so I just picked what has worked for me before. is the sata3 interface not that important then?

And yes. That's definitely something I'd be looking to do when I'd get a larger screen.

SATA 3 interface is as useless as udders on a Bull, a mechanical hardrive will never get to those transfer speeds, even SATA 2 is not being fully saturated by a Harddrive..

Its only important for SSD drives really as mechanical drives don't really stand a chance of reaching those kinds of bandwidths.
Another Option would be to get a smaller SSD: Crucial RealSSD C300
and buy a couple of HDDs: (like mentioned above)
and upgrade the graphics even further.

I did look at that option but I have 4 HDDs to transfer from this computer and I don't want to have any laying about inside the case. (that's what the lian li cables are for) And I'd quite like the luxury of having the extra space on the SSD.

That's a pretty good deal, are the timings not something that are that important? (showing how little I know) And will I ever realistically use more than 8gb of ram?
