I want to upgrade my current system. Intel Q6600 @2.4Ghz and P5KPL-AM.

I want to upgrade to these components CPU and Mobo. They are both on offer atm so i am seriously considering buying them this week, just wanted to know whether it would be better to wait for AMD's Bulldozer line to come out or to buy now?

Wait, the Phenom X4 isn't a massive improvement on your current CPU, especially if you get your chip overclocked a bit.

My motherboard is really bad for overclocking and the AMD is the black edition so i was hoping to overclock to around 3.8Ghz. Also i have a water cooler so it could handle it.

Considering Bulldozer is only a few months away now I'd still suggest waiting unless it's an urgent upgrade, if Bulldozer is competitive with Sandy Bridge it should mean pricing is quite interesting.

If you're buying an AM3 mobo imminently get the Crosshair Formula IV - it will support the new BD chips when they come out :)
