time to upgrade?

I don't usually keep upto date with upcoming hardware so was wondering what peoples thoughts were if its time for me to overhaul my PC current setup is

phenom II X4 955 , 4gb ddr3 , Asus Crosshair III Formula, 570 gtx

I generally just build a pc from scratch and had this one since 2009 ish apart from the 570 so was wondering if its worth building a new pc or if there's any hardware coming out that's worth delaying for

770 gtx or maybe a 780 , Asus MAXIMUS VI HERO ,Intel Core i7 4770K, 16GB (2x8GB) Corsair DDR3 Dominator Platinum PC3-14900 (1866) is the build im think off atm

Nice ideas but there are some expensive parts there which you may not need..

Is this PC for gaming mostly? Any CAD or video editing work?

I would say my budget would be 2k max I guess would mostly be for gaming but I do my work on it as well (game programming) but not as intensive as video editing /cad I guess
