Hi there,

I am really just a bit bored and fancy something shiny, but in reality my current spec still performs pretty well. What do people think, could I justify an upgrade? Perhaps swap out the graphics card? or is it not really worth it.

Current specs are

i5-3570K @ 4.5ghz using a Noctua NHU12P
HIS 7950 IceQ Boost Clock 3GB @ 1100/1300 (on a 24" HP2475w)
Gigabyte Z77-D3H mobo
Samsung 120GB SSD
Patriot Viper (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9
Corsair TX 750w psu
Win 8.1

I don't need uber resolution just 1900x1200 as I have a HP LP2475w.

I am thinking 4k in the long run, but not sure whether to think about it now or when I build my next machine (no timescale on that though).

Or should I just leave for now?
Thanks

If you have money to burn, get a better monitor and GPU.

You could spend £500 upgrading CPU, MB and RAM, just to see a 5% performance gain if you like...

lol, not exactly. I need to get purchases passed by the committee i.e. the wife.

So not obvious upgrade then, I was thinking of perhaps a better graphics card but perhaps it isn't worth it.
