Hi guys

I Think it's about time I upgraded my PC! really needs more UMPH.

cpu I think is ok as it is, really need more RAM and possibly a new gpu/motherboard for DDR3.

Current spec -;

CPU - Phenom 955 BE
RAM - DDR2 4gb(4x1)
GPU - 5850 1GB
with SSD as boot disk.

what would you add/change for around £350?!

thanks, yes it needs to be ok with latest games, don't mind running medium/high mix of setting at 1080p but any lower than that and it'll bother me

keeping the CPU stock, just don't have the time to mess around with it and test the stability properly.

also it looks like gpu is massive, probably won't fit my antec 900 - which I'd love to get rid off!

arh.. had some other things to sort out :)

anyway.. back to this, budget is a bit healther now at £500.

ideally I'll want a new case, smaller, quieter etc, I'd like to get a build that would be quite future proof, in a sense that I could just upgrade the GPU in a year/two and be ok with gaming again.

current games that I will want to play are assetto corsa, project cars, gta V once out on PC.

any help appreciated!

What PSU do you have?
Does a micro-ATX build interest you?

550w antec, it's old, very old actually.. but seems to be powering the current system without a glitch!

yes that does look quite good, wonder if I'll need new psu with that gpu + cpu combo though.

thanks for reply!

Antecs are a decent PSU just depends on it's age, they degrade over time but it should be OK.
