Time to upgrade?

hey all, my wife has granted me permission to spend a little money on my pc (£700) and I wondered if its worth it. i would like to make the leap to 2560x1440 but im not sure if £700 would be enough.

My current build
I5 4690k
Msi z97 Gaming
Msi GTX 970 Gaming
Corsair vengance 8gb 1600
Corsair RM750

I really fancy one of those Rog swift monitors (love the overclockers policy on dead pixels) but could my gtx 970 handle it?
If not then would It be better to get a new graphics car? but then im worried that going for a gtx 980 ti would be wasted on my Asus MX279H

Get a 980ti, you won't regret it.

I just got one and its used for 1080p. Will upgrade the monitor later when i have some spare dolla...Roll on black friday

very good point! could flog the gtx 970 and my current monitor to help fund the swift.

^^ Sounds like the best idea to me, although it might be worth bearing in mind that an IPS version of the swift is due out Q3 this year, so you might want to wait for that.
