Due to having to run Planetside 2 at only Meduim setting, with a 6950 2Gb version, to have comfortable gaming in big battles, im looking to replace my good old Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 with a i5 3570K.

So ive decided on a 3570K but what motherboard sould i get, ive gone through the list of Z77 board and cant decide on wich one, but im only looking on spending about £110 max on the motherboard. so wich one for overclocking on air:-

Gigabyte Z77-D3H
ASRock Z77 Pro 4
Gigabyte Z77X-D3h
MSI Z77A-G45
ASRock Z77 Extreme4

And im gessing its not going to matter much about RAM from the 1600MHz group as there all perform about the same.

For the UK RMA, I'd go gigabyte!

Just noticed that. Theres the
P8Z77-V LX2
P8Z77-V LX
Wich look exacly the same, but they only have the 3 Audio jacks at the back, so i was a bit consurned with 5.1 sound, as im gessing the use in the input and mic for surond sound, but will that disable the Mic input for the front pannel?

I think, when you connect the front panel, it'll ask you to choose the device, you can then specify Mic.

Is anyone able to confirm that i can still use the Mic in on the pannel connection while using the 5.1 on the back, as now the P8Z77-V LX2 sounds like the better buy.

I can't answer your question, but if it doesn't then could you just buy a USB microphone? You can get one for a tenner or less, and unless you're doing professional sound processing it should be plenty good enough (which I guess you aren't, if you're using onboard sound)

Maybe it would just be better and easier for me to just go for the Gigabyte board, but would the Z77X be worth the extra for it over the standerd.

So ive dicided on the
Gigabyte Z77 D3H
Kingston HyperX Genesis Grey 8Gb
i5 3570K
But my problem now is what cooler, As ive got a Fractal Design Define XL im gessing that water cooling kits like the Corsair Hydro H80i will be too tight to fit in.
So is it worth getting the Corsair Hydro H100i and mounting it on the intake of the case, where its two 140mm fans on the case where the kit is two 120mm, which may be a problem.
Or just get a Arctic Cooling Freezer i30 as it will be good enouth for a reasnoble overclock. Or a better air cooler?
