Hi m8 using a H50 myself i7 920 @ 4.2GHz no prob's at all, get rid of the stock fan if your using it and get the new Akasa AK-FN059 120mm Ultra Quiet Viper Cool Fan a far better performing fan and near silent at Max RPM.

That alone should bring your temp's down. How is the air flow in your case if you have installed it inside your case?

Plus don't forget the weather has been quite hot!!!!

i've got 14cm intake(front) 2 x 12cm intake (bottom), 2 x 14 exhaust(top) and my h50 in push/pull with 2 x akasa apaches exhaust (rear)

my i7 860 is running at 200blk x 20, 1.4.1vcore

Hi m8, lol sure you have enough fan's m8 ;), all l can suggest is can you get your CPU Vcore down, should help with your temp's.

Also is your H50 seated properly, did you tighten the screws down evenly > from corner to corner(diagonally) in turn? Just athought applying to much thermal paste can also help give higher temp's

My i7 920 @ 4.2GHz CPU Vcore:1.3125v(cpu-z 100% load = 1.296v), gaming take BC2 my core temp's never go over 62'c.

First time i have looked at the new akase viper fans, they look very promising with very good pressure levels. Lets hope they live upto the spec.

indeed my case hovers!, its not really my gaming temp that bugs me its my prime95 temp! i have just resteaed the the cooler yesterday and no difference, thinking about going to 1366 and getting a 920 as they dont need high volts, and yeah i never noticed how good them vipers are ment to be think i might buy 2!

Hi chronic, my temp's when l run P95 after 2hrs highest core temp was 75'c room temp at 20'c, thats not bad at all. Don't forget you'll never reach them temp's with normal use: gaming, etc.

Plus the weather is warming upto, so your room temp will rise so increasing your PC temp's. If you decide to buy Viper fan's, just try one at first, l'm using > 1xViper/1xApache and got good result's.:)

Watercooling is better than air cooling. In every single respect besides capital investment. It is however, exceptionally intolerant of ignorance. I strongly recommend spending several days reading as much as you can about it before starting a thread asking for advice.

It'll take a very patient man indeed to explain the entirety of watercooling to someone who hasn't bothered to learn anything himself.
