I just spent a little time overclocking my 3200+ ClawHammer and OCZ Platinum DDR400 memory :o

It's now running at:

FSB: 235mhz
HTT: 2.5x
CPU: 10x
Memory Divider: 1:1

So the CPU is at 2350mhz, HTT at 587.5mhz and DDR470 :D

The CPU speed will go higher and I can run the HTT at 625mhz stable (25mhz increase), this was just a test to see what the memory could do.

Incidently I did manage to get to into windows with the memory at 250mhz (DDR500) with the loosest timings however I ran a prime95 blend and this errored. I suspect a little more than 2.8v is needed but impossible without DDR booster or MB mod.

I'm very pleased with the memory and I'm currently seeing

Project : 2096
Core : GBGromacs
Frames : 100
Credit : 178

Min. Time / Frame : 12mn 31s - 204.78 ppd
Avg. Time / Frame : 12mn 48s - 200.25 ppd

Sods law.
I've had to turn it off for now as I'm over at my g/f's >_<
I will however have a 3800 X2 @ 2.5ghz folding on both cores instead :D

So I'll have to wait for the OC results :(

Unfortunatly so

Still the X2 is currently seeing a total of over 520 ppd :)

Why is Fahmon showing a lot of N/A stuff in the project pane? It showed nformation for these units before

It generally depends which WUs are currently listed in the project summary. If you download a WU and it disappears off the summary page whilst you're folding it, FAHMon tends to lose the info when it updates.

Oh you lucky sod. My OCZ Platinum throws a paddy at about 215 :(

:D

I assume you we're using 2.8v seeing as there still under lifetime warranty at 2.8v :)

If I could get mine up to 2.9v I reckon they'd prime stable at 250. :D

I think I was at 2.7v. Didn't know the warranty went up to 2.8v!

*ponders*

It has been about a month since I OC'd my CPU so it might be time to see if a month of constant 24/7 crunching has burned it in a little and will allow me to up the OC to 2.7. Hmm... be nice to have my RAM running a little faster too :D

Well you ought to check on the OCZ site if it bothers you. Personally I'd be happy running these at 2.9, maybe even 3.0 if I could bodge a 120mm fan over them ;)

I think most of the OCZ stuff has EVP (Extended Voltage Protection) which basically means you can put a little more through them, compared to stock, without invalidating the lifetime warranty. Find your memory on their website and it will say how much you can put through them. :)
