For the last 5 mins Ive been chasing a fly round the room trying to kill it... got biggles in the end! Anyway brought back some memorys when I was 5 years old - I was able to easily catch flys with my hands and pull their legs off...

In age do we see things slower? Like time slows down compaired to a child or small animal?

Never understood why people chase these things around, why expend the energy just get it when it lands close to you or forget about it until it dies.l

Well (and I may be wrong)....
when we are close to the ground time theoreticly goes slower than when we are high up because we are further away from a large gravatational object.

Not sure if thats write or something I just made up

so my legs experience time faster than my head? Doesn't sound right tbh.. Although I've been wrong before

My understanding of it is that when you're young your heart beats faster, you move faster, the days pass slower. The older you get the slower your heart beats, you move slower, meaning your days pass quicker.

The elephant’s heart beats really slowly, the mouse’s heart beats really fast, that's why an elephant is frightened of a mouse, it only sees the mouse when the mouse stands still.

It's similar with your fly, the fly sees you move slowly all the time but the younger you are the quicker you can move, therefore the easier you catch the fly. When you get older you slow down giving the fly even more reaction time to evade your swipes.

It's something crazy like that anyway :)

There's things that can help with that.

Depending on what it is, you can either speed your heart up or slow it down.

Yeah time seems to fly faster now and I'm only 21.

A popular saying you often hear around this time of year is ''christmas seems to have come early this year'' or ''last christmas only seems like five minutes ago doesn't it''. The reason is that your perception of time has changed compared to what it was when you were younger, and it changes slightly as each year passes, each year gets shorter.

Christmas seems to take forever to come round when you're five or something, but when you get older you just get one christmas out the way and there's another one before you know it.

A sign you're getting older (and that you're turning into your dad) is that you find yourself saying those things. :)

Up's more fun. My resting heat rate is on the low side - around 55-60 BPM - if it gets any lower I'll probably pass out and time will stop altogether :p

It depends what I'm doing, sometimes I like my heart beating faster, sometimes I like it beating slower.

I do think I have more fun when my heart beats faster though, now that I think about it :D

I'd have thought that looking up to the fly with a white ceiling may have given you an advantage when chasing it.

Either that or flys have evolved skillz
