Timer in Windows 7??

I'm after a really simple piece of functionality that isn't built into windows: a quick and easy way to set a timer which flashes up on screen when the no. of minutes have run out. The times vary so ideally I want an easy way to set the timer and click go.

anyone know of a trustworthy and decent gadget?
