Times your brain doesn't engage :/

I was a teenager, was dipping a straw into tip ex (ran out of white paint) for art homework, stopped and pondered over my work with the straw in my mouth then breathed in. The feeling of tip ex drying in your mouth is not pleasant.

Tried to stop a hand food blender blade with my thumb in the same way you can stop one of those handheld fan thingies forgetting that a metal blade, powered by electricity would be a bit more resilient than a thin plastic one being run by two AA batteries.

Spent next 4 hours in A&E.

But did it blend?

I did something similar with a lawnmower.

Trying to clean the grass off of the underside of the mower once I was finished I flipped it over and stuck my hand in. Trouble was the blade hadn't stopped spinning yet.

Luckily it had slowed down a fair bit and it hit the nail on my thumb and not any finger meat. The nail turned black and I had a sore thumb for ages but was lucky not to lose any fingers.
