Timespy CPU scores - how so high?

Is there something i'm missing here? 5800X scores appear to have low clock frequency but a high CPU score

My score - 12 827
Clock frequency - 4,949 MHz (3,800 MHz)

There are a few others where the CPU clock is around 3800Mhz? Is the 3800Mhz value just incorrect?

They aren't that far ahead, probably just have better cooling.

I wouldn't rely on 3dmark reported clocks for CPUs. It doesn't work on all motherboards and doesn't always read overclocks depending how you perform them.

Nope, just air (Noctua u14 s)
How you prerform them? I thought Timespy, Firestrike etc. is just a case of clicking run unless you choose individual tests from custom

As in how you do the overclocks. There are multiple ways to overclock in AMD bioses.

I wouldn’t worry about a database of results. I think you just need to collate your overall result to what majority are like with similar system.

those databases are easily manipulated.

olus I don’t see the point of using 3D mark for CPU benchmark anyways. GPU sure.

I’d use Cinnebench R20 or R23 for cpu performance checking.

Yeah I reckon sometimes the program gets the cpu full speed wrong and just puts in the non boost speed, the 5800x is 3800Mhz non boost speed
My 5900x has a non boost speed of 3700Mhz, sometimes time spy had it at 4800, once it even said over 5Ghz? go figure, I only use timespy to see if new driver perform better/worse than older ones, never to compete...
