Is now a really bad time to buy a new card? Thing is I can probably wait, but the x1950 pro is calling my name...

I'm a bit of a cheep skate when it comes to well... everything because very recently I was an unemployed student and therefore poor.

I'm just thinking that in 4-6 months the price of this card might have dropped by half... is this likely?

I would have thought it would be a good time to get a dx9 card. There won't be any decent dx10 games out for a while (excluding microsoft flight sim 10) and the dx9 cards have already come down a lot in price and are unlikely to go much further. I'd get a 1950 Pro if I were you - as a student you'll be packing up for xmas in less than a month, you need something to pass the time eh? ;)
