Whats better to have in the RAM sections, a higher clockrate or lower timmings?

For gaming mostly, and other stuff like encoding and general PC use.

Depends on what socket you are using really. AMD's 754/939 prefer the tighter timings for DDR1, for C2D and AM2 using DDR2 i believe the bandwidth is more important. If i am wrong no doubt someone will come along and set it straight.

Minsta, for a non-overclocker, just the question in general. If you had a choice of having say CAS 3 - 400 mhz or CAS 5 - 600 mhz.

I'm pretty sure 50% more clockspeed would be worth dropping the timings to slack settings.

If I was to use Team Xtreme 2GB 800Mhz 3-3-3-8

Then swap it for Team Xtreme 2GB 800Mhz 4-4-4-10

Would I notice any difference?
