Tint King Review - Awful!

So I booked Tint King today, a mobile service in the south-east, to come over and do my windows.. and what a sham of a service they operate!

It was originally booked for yesterday, but the guy 'forgot it was NYD' and rearranged for today. Fine. He was due at 2pm.. 2:30pm comes and no sign of him/them... He tells me he's running a little late and he'll be here at 3pm. Ok, whatever, I'm not doing anything till later.

3:20pm he texts, in something that almost resembles English, that he'll be here within 20 minutes. An hour later, and he's still not here. And now at 17:30pm... nothing. I've text and called the guy, and have had no response.. The whole thing is a complete joke, and I would strongly recommend never using them if you ever want your windows tinted!
 
Sadly not an untypical example of our service industry. Until such people get it into their stupid heads that the customer is the important element and not them, it will never change. It is arrogance and stupidity in equal measure and winds me through the roof as there is no need for it. Quality communication is where good service starts and where the biggest and sadly often the worse impression is made.

Go elsewhere.
 
I've already booked elsewhere for tomorrow, but I still want to speak to him and tell him what a joke his business is
 
Just had a call.. Apparently he's been stuck in the garage all day whilst his van was repaired and his phone died.

I've been given the offer to have the first slot tomorrow (There's someone booked into it, but that's no issue when you have no ethics or service standards!) and a £20 discount. I simply told him it would be better if he didn't let anyone else down and I'll go elsewhere and pay more for a more reliable service.
