Hey people,
I went to make some rhubarb crumble the other day and upon opening up my pack of flour I saw loads of little bugs, they were ranging from a pale brown to a black and were the size of about a half grain of rice.
Upon further inspecting the cupboard they were in my cereals, my rice, my pasta and ive even found some on my windowsill of my downstairs loo. The loo isnt too far from the kitchen so I can see how they may have simply walked the distance.
Any idea what these things are?
I had a feeling they were weevils but im not entirely sure. Also the rice they were in was sealed in a plastic container so im really confused how they got in there and also how to stop them spreading.
Ive got all my dry foods outside of the cupboard around the house until I can sort the problem.
Ive bleached the cupboard and its remaining contents twice and im still getting the buggers. I went around my hard flooring earlier with a steam cleaner hoping that also will help but im still looking for a more conclusive method of removing these pests.
Thanks in advance.
