Got an old (3 years) tiny laptop that I use for this and that when I am working away (its not for porn) but it has stopped working for some resign and will no longer boot up.

Cannot remember which model it is, it has the 2.5mhz P4 in it with 40gb HDD and 92mb of ram (yes I know it sucks) and runs on XP
Numbers on the back are…
0001-503-80056
80056TNJ04T4
4114
Serial No: 000187233/008

Can get in to the bios ok

Been trying to reinstall XP on it but it just gives the error message when I try to run from the xp disk…
INF file txtsetup.sif is corrupt or missing, status 4096
Setup cannot continue. Press any key to exit.

When trying to start it with out the xp disk in it says…
No Bootable CD in ATAPI CD-ROM
Hard disk boot sector invalid
Press ‘H’ to retry hard disk, any other key for floppy

Don’t really want to get rid and get a new one because if I get a new one I will have to dig into my yearly upgrades money for my gaming rig (vista and AM2 this year :) )
And for what I use it for would not be worth it.

So if any one has any idea’s on how to fix it before I throw it out my window to see how many bits it will brake into would be good.
