Monitor, Lead or Adapter.....can you help please?

I've just been re-doing my cable management on my 600T and when re-connecting my VGA lead to my GTX660, via DVI adapter, I spotted some really tiny sparks.

What the hell would cause this?

I've seen it before with USB ports when using the mobo headers to the front panel on the case. This was resolved by using another header on the mobo, but what can I do about this??

Were you connecting a live cable at the time? If so, its just a bit of electricity arcing across the gap. I would not worry.

The PC was off, power disconnected and the monitor was connected to the mains and powered, but switched off using the monitor power switch.
