Hi all just ignore this if it has already been posted, but I don't like how large the icons are on the Windows 7 standard desktop. Even when they are changed via

Right Click > View > Small Icons

They are just a little big. I have however just realised that it's possible to hold Ctrl+Mouse Scroll up/down to adjust the size like the rest of explorer views. Perhaps it was just me, but I never would have thought of that function on the desktop itself! :-)

Hope it is useful, if not feel free to ignore

Didn't know that. Also just found out if you hold the Windows key and press + or - you can zoom in and out.

While we're on keyboard shortcuts Windows Key + Up, Left, Down or Right Arrow activate the "Windows Snap" features.

I think, more importantly, why would you want Windows snap?

It's the best thing for multi-monitor setups. Being able to just pull windows about two or more screen sis fantastic, especially if you have to word documents open they can very easily be docked to each side of the screen. :)
