... well its the Balloon Fiesta in Bristol this weekend, and I am off tomorrow morning at 06:30ish to take some photos of the hot air balloons in the sky. My camera is a Fuji S5600 and was wondering would it be better taking the shots in Auto mode or would you make some manual adjustments? Also, the ISO tends to be a bit sporadic in the way it automatically assigns the ISO, I can manually override, but just not sure what too?

Can you give me some pointers (in lamens terms) for what I should try. The weather forecast looks very good tomorrow.

Never taken any shots of this subject matter before and was hoping to get some pointers.

Cheers

I'm not too sure about anything special for pics of hot air balloons, but if you use the program mode on the camera, you should be able to set the ISO to something like 100 or lower, and keep it fixed.

By pressing the 'F' for Fuji button, it gives me option to fix ISO. I have ISO 200, 100 and I think a ~64 ISO setting. Have had a look on Flickr for inspiration; think its all about interesting angles.
