So the snow has now melted and my grass is looking shocking. Its looking dead any brown/yellow. Even at the end of last year it wasnt looking to healthy. Its by far the worst in the street so looking at how to fix it.

What would the best things be to do and at what times? Feeds etc?

Any other tips for looking after it?

I'm a lazy b*****d and use these guys: http://www.greenthumb.co.uk/. By the time you've bought your own stuff and faffed about getting it spread you've really not saved much money (if any!). They come 4 times a year and spray front and back lawns. The stuff isn't horribly toxic or anything - I can let the children play on the lawn a few hours after a treatment.

I would suggest going for the basic spraying service - where it suddenly goes expensive is selling add-ons like scarifying and hollow-tine aeration.

Greenthumb here also. I do not need any kit, nor keep any of the chemicals, treatments or feeds, they do it all for me. £60.00 for the whole year. Job done!

Thanks Chipperhead I was going to search for your original thread to follow this year.

Which site do you use for buying your feed, etc?

Maybe we should have a sticky for certain guides such as chipperheads?
