Tips for saving on your leccy, so you can run the GPU of choice...

If you want to save leccy, get rid of the wife or girl freind, by the time they shower on average twice aday or bath, use their leccy eating hair styling, body gizzmo's, not forgetting sunbeds. Go through more cloths and so the washing machine gets used more, not like us lad's, mum will do it. Then buy you tools for DIY, where the time and money is better spent on your PC, and once you have done that.

You would make further saving's on your leccy bill as you would just live on take'aways and beer. But as us PC peep's are ECO friendly, we would use an A rated fridge to keep are favorite tipple cool :cool:. So once you have done this you will have loads of spare leccy to run what ever leccy gobbling GPU card or card's you wish ...lol ;)

No more worries about your leccy bill...:D
 
Fair call, er indoors does like the heating on all the time, hair straightners, baths, showers the meter is runing like Usain Bolt when she's over.

Oh one false bit of info that gets thrown around - 'if your worrired about the gtx480 power draw just turn of a light bulb.' Rubbish. These days light bulbs use like 7 watts so make a differance you would have to turn of 8 of buggers and that's if you have 8 turned on which you probably don't.

I have actualy found with my PC with 2 4890's in it, 2 monitors and tv on I dont need to have heating on. Rest of the house is freezing though

Lamps do not use the stated wattage, the true measurment is actually circuit watts as there are losses in the internal workings of the lamp :)
