Hi All

Im in a dead end job basically, with no idea what i want to do going forward.
In 8 weeks time il be a father...i cant wait to be honest.

I do have a side line in vinyl work (stickers/decals mainly for cars etc). Which i enjoy but couldnt see myself carrying out full-time

Im just here for advice, fast approaching mid 30's with a lovely family and house...so im comfortable as can be, but ive never known exactly what i wanted to do and feel time is running out :-/

No tips as that's something you'll have to figure out yourself, but if it help; I'm currently in my 2nd year of doing my 2nd degree (mostly for fun really but also upskilling), and at age 36 I'm pretty much the youngest person in the lecture hall. People from mid 40s to early 50s seen to be most prevalent. Chatting to them, they're all starting 'over' or changing career or just trying something new and different. One of my regular golfing buddies is 57, ex army and finished his degree a few weeks ago AND got a new job off the back of it. Mid 30s is still young. You have time. Don't rush into something because you think you're running out of time. Take some time to really think it through.

Another example, I see an endocrinologist for my thyroid issues, Canadian lady in her mid 50s (looks about 35). She was a receptionist until she was 38 and then went to medical school. Or pre-med. qualified as a doctor some years later and just kept plugging away at the studies. Fair to say, she's sitting pretty comfortable now.

Figure out what you wouldn't mind being stuck in traffic for on your way to work on a rainy Monday morning and go for it.

Christchurch seems pretty cool. What degree are you doing?
