Hi,

Me and my wife are currently looking for a used car, however, I only know of Auto Trader and Piston Heads when looking for a used car (would rather avoid eBay).

Can someone post some websites they have used in the past?

Thanks

Just out of interest what's your budget and what sort of thing you looking for? It can help to point you in the right direction.

Thanks for the Gumtree suggestion, I hadn't thought of that.

I bought my last car from eBay and the experience wasn't so great, however, due to distance I couldn't view it beforehand. I suppose that was my fault really.

We're looking at a used 2002-2004 Seat Leon Cupra (not the Cupra R). Budget 4k.

Ebay is fine if you use it like Autotrader. If you use it like an auction then things can end up going sour as you've found :(

My last two cars have been found using Autotrader but as you have a specific car that you are after it might be worth signing up to an owners forum or two to see if one pops up on there.

Whilst unfortunately the majority hideously deface their cars, www.seatcupra.net is a very useful resource, and there'll be plenty in the For Sale section.

For a Leon Cupra, I'd have thought AutoTrader and Pistonheads would suffice.

Yeah, I put it down to a learning experience in the end.

Thanks for the Seat link, I'll check it out now.

I had noticed many modify their Seat Cupra's :p it doesn't make things any easier :)
