2x250gb Hitachi HD's(Raid 0)+ 160gb spare Maxtor

Any advise appreciated as will be looking to build at the weekend :D

P.S. Upgrading from Opty 185(clocked at 2.76)on Asus A8N32 with 2gb pc4000 ram

Forgive me, but I can't see where you are wanting the advice? :-) Are the bits at the top not yet bought and you're asking for feedback on them? or something else?

Sorry for causing any confusion - have bought all new bits & will be building 'new' pc at weekend.

Since Pentium 166 have only used AMD - so a little concerned that I might well make a few mistakes when building purely because it'l be my '1st' Intel /DDR2build.

No doubt will I manage a few 'dumb' errors :(:D but would like to keep'em to a minimum

You dont really have to bother with a fresh windows as its capable of just switching drivers... (i did the same thing a few months ago).

would very much appreciate advise as to how to do this !!!!

remove old drivers,

Presume you mean motherboard drivers.

As I have a nvidia chipset then I could , simply, remove all nvidia drivers etc BUT this also removes the nvidia raid drivers/set up I'm using

Is this a problem ?

New board will presumambly have its own raid set up.
