tiscali and msn settings

hi all, im hoping someone can help me out. a froend has phoned to say they have set up there tiscali router and got connected but msn wont connect. im waiting for them to ring back with the error code but are there any settings in the router setup i might need to alter?

MSN error code reads 80048820 extended error code reads 80048411

can anyone adivise as i dont know the addy to alter the settings for a siemmens router

Odd as it should connect, Routers don't block things like MSN, could be a firewall blocking it.

ok i will check it out, they had no problems logging into msn before the router was connected a couple of days ago so i wouldnt have expected there firewall settings to have changed

Whats the model of the router? I had a router that required me to tick a "helper" box which allowed things like ICQ, MSN and netmeeting.
