OMG OMG OMG OMG !

i really cant believe this company has the cheek to email me an FUP warning here's the story

March 22nd 2006 i join up over the phone
April 11th 2006 broadband enabled
April 18th 2006 Broadband stops working
July yes thats July 3rd 2006 broadband starts working again

ok so to start when the BB went down i rang the *cough cough* tec support and i had spyware on my PC allegedly ! lol FFS yeah ok m8 ;)

3 weeks later they decide its a BT fault so i have to wait for them to fix it......

11 weeks later and using dial up while no access to BB im back on, Tiscali are all we are sorry mr *** we'll refund you 3 months of BB and not charge you for the dial up

last week i get a bill for £130 call charges £7 dial up £103 and im like WTF so i go hunting for my " refund" never got one so i get on the phone and they are appologetic again and tell me they are going to refund it all and the BB too

so it was all going well for a few days then i get the FPU warning today!

and i just looked at my usage for the month and its @ 9GB whoa now thats excessive ! NOT

Tiscali Unlimited broadband
(unlimited as long as you dont use it)

MUPPETS !!

/rant over and relax :D

Most companies let you buy out the contract, but they charge you £50 + £50 disconnection fee + modem fee for the privelidge.

Tiscali are crap, and dont expect them to hold to anything they say at all, they say one thing and do another.

how can u get out of a contract once ya in a 12 month?

If they've failed to adhere to the terms of the contract (ie by not providing you with any service for large chunks of it) you could use that to terminate it.

3 months offline and your still with them?

tell me about it !

they did give me a MAC code when i was offline for that amount of time but seeing as it was a BT fault i thought theres no point in moving isp's as it'd be the same for all isp's

if i'd of known then what i know now i would have left :(

hindsight is a wonderful thing

I'll ring them today and try and get out of it

i really cant see how they can call it "unlimited" when you use less than a limited ISP package and you get an email saying they are going to control your usage

gotta be illegal somehow, misleading and all that

Just keep hammering your connection in the Peak hrs, after you get 3 fup warnings on Tiscali they ask you if you'll take your MAC code, in other words will you ******* we don't want you anymore. :D

I left those jokers in June, you want to be carefull as you will even get FUP warnings for browsing to much in the peak hrs, probably what you have done there, ran up 9gb of browsing in peak or gamed online, which you can also forget duing peak hrs, as that will send it through the roof during peak hrs, then theres the traffic shaping, i got off when they only allowed 10-20k with no upload on any connection, even the 8mb MAX ppl were only downloading at 20k then with no upload, what a joke, a 256k connection is miles faster than their MAX service PMSL :D what a waste of money sticking everyone on 8mb if they will only allow you 20k download speed on it, they should have just stuck everyone on a 512k connection. :D

Might have changed now like, might be 25k rofl. :D

It is unlimited, just off peak hrs, if you really want to get out of your contract then do as i said above, hammer your connection during peak hrs, just set stuff away downloading etc... as once you get your 3rd FUP saying your going on the bad boy pipe, yup thats an even slower one, they also offer you your MAC code. :)
