Hi,
I'm on the lookout for a new system primarily for running FSX. I'm currently using a 2011 15" Macbook Pro so whatever I get will be a huge step up, last PC was a Q8300, 4GB RAM and GTX 460.
I don't have the knowledge or time to build my own system so have been looking at the pre-built OCUK systems. FSX apparently benefits from CPU for approx 75% of performance and the rest is down to the GPU therefore I'm looking for a high overclock.
I'll be using a 1650x1050 resolution for gaming and will be using old mouse/keyboard etc.
Configuring the Titan 350i system I would go for the standard system only making changes to the graphics, KFA2 Geforce GTX 770 EX OC 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card and the inclusion of Windows 7 64bit. This totals at £1,286 including delivery etc.
Can anyone suggest whether this would be an ideal system for my requirements or would the move to a Haswell based system be worth the extra cost, my budget would be about £1300.
Thanks for the help
Paul
