I've been looking around for a new mid range gaming PC for a while now, and I've settled on the "Titan 8200i Spinosaur" http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FS-176-OE

My last PC was from Overclockers and worked a treat, except I found the case to be kinda ugly, so this time round I was looking for something pretty/more functional.

Anyway I have found this case and was hoping the OC sales team would be able to tweak the build to use this case instead. http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-092-NX

My question is basically, will this case be compatible with the hardware in the aforementioned PC. My hardware knowledge is basic and I've always had very cheap cases, so I apologise if it's a silly question... Also any expansion on what the purpose of noise dampening is for etc would be appreciated;)

Thanks for any help! :-)

I think somehow my 'current' PC is on it's way out. 1.5ghz processor, AGP graphics, 512mb ram :p

My previous gaming PC was fried after a power surge we think-I didn't even know what that was so an expensive lesson learned. Managed to salvage a few components but nothing I could really re-use as it's a tad old (HD 4850 gpu etc).

Honestly building my own did cross my mind, mostly for having unlimited choice of cases... I think I will go with pre built this time, but I might hang around these forums and try to improve my knowledge for next time.

I didn't really want to go over ~£800.

I settled on:
"Titan 8200i Spinosaur" Intel Core i5 2500K 3.40GHz @ 4.40GHz DDR3 Quad Core Gaming PC
Microsoft Windows 8 64-Bit DVD - OEM
Xigmatek Alfar Midi Tower Case - Black/Orange
Standard Build Systems
24 MONTH WARRANTY - COLLECT & RETURN
No Hard Drive Upgrade
HIS HD 7850 IceQ X 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 500GB SATA 6Gb/s 16MB Cache - OEM (ST500DM002) HDD

Came to £799.46 so right under budget. I had to forgo the case for now as I didn't realize my old Win7 was OEM so had to get another OS. I'm thinking I will get my pink case a bit further down the line and swap the hardware over, seems like a relatively simple task .

Thanks for the link, will have a gander! :)
